Allied Fuels

Allied Fuels buys and sells crude oil, heavy fuel oil, slurry oil, LCO, HCO, and MGO for the bunker industry and export market, as well as VGO and coker feedstocks to oil refineries.

Transport of these products is done by rail car, barge, and trucks. Allied Fuels' core business is mainly in California and Canada, as well as the Southwest and the Pacific Northwest States. Allied Fuels is also dedicated to the production of clean energy fuels, including natural gas and biofuels.

President and Owner Howard E. Meek II has worked in all areas of the petroleum industry since 1973, including 45 years of experience in oil and gas exploration.

Highlights of Experience Include

  • Drilling nine commercially viable oil and natural gas wells in two counties within the state of Oklahoma
  • Two natural gas sales totaling $16 million to Simpson Paper Company, the second largest private landowner in California
  • Directing fuel oil sales throughout the western United States and the Gulf Coast and facilitating product transportation via truck, barge, and rail car
  • Contracts with Conoco Phillips, J.P. Morgan Biofuels Division, Chevron, British Petroleum, Texaco, Mobil, Arco, Shell, and Sun Oil Company
  • Development of a 1 million BBL Biofuels terminal at the Port of Sacramento in West Sacramento, California
  • Transporting crude oil from California to Texas as one of the original shippers on the Four Corners Pipeline
  • Owning and operating an asphalt refinery with 75 employees in Tampico, Mexico that transported 4 million gallons of asphalt per month to the U.S. by rail car
